New tanks undergo hydrostatic testing prior to being put into service, which includes thorough integrity checks such as monitoring for potential leaks during water filling. Cathodic protection systems are employed to prevent corrosion throughout normal operations. To further ensure safety, tanks are grounded to eliminate static electricity buildup during filling and refilling, and grounding also provides a pathway to divert lightning strikes in the rare event they occur. Our facilities are consistently maintained, inspected, and monitored. Each tank is visually inspected at least once a month by trained terminal personnel, with additional comprehensive inspections conducted annually.
